I still see some progress on the plateau. Tolerating feeds is great. Potassium replacement is inconsequential and is much preferred to prior status of high potassium. Nurses differ in quality and style, as you are well aware now in this hospitalization. Expect that to continue until you're OTD (out the door). In fact, you also know that doctors differ greatly in the same areas.
Babies, especially infants, are incredibly resilient. ZZ will catch up to the height, weight, and IQ that his genes have conferred upon him. The biological "set points" are fiercely controlling of these parameters. By age 9 - 12 months, he'll be a normal boy with all of this a distant memory.
Priorities:
1) access
2) gut function
3) anemia (need more blood?).
4) guard against infection.
5) maintain psychological health of family.
Keep getting better, Zachary
