Things are getting better

Morning rounds have just passed. Here's the update:

He's looking good. We've gave him a bath today in fact to clean off all kinds of junk. Angelina, our night nurse, provided angelic like care for Debby and I.

He's going to be given 1 oz every four hours of lactose-free formula. We're hoping his gut can handle it. The key to him getting better is his ability to eat again without diahhrea or vomiting. His central line, which provides his fats, proteins and hydration, continues to leak but the PICU attending, checked it twice during the night and thinks it should last through the weekend. BTW, all the doctors look like they are straight out of Gray's Anatomy, male or female.

The general atmosphere is not only optimistic but also there is a sense of relief because we all know that he's going to come home now - just not exactly when.

Thanks Ali and Christine for the baked goods. The staff truly go nuts for these offerings.
